Interested in becoming a Coach or an Official?

Join our team and play a vital role in supporting athletes. Whether you’re interested in coaching or becoming an official, we’ll provide the guidance you need to get started.
Swindon Harriers Officials

Get Started as an Official

Every official begins somewhere, often by volunteering at a League or Open meeting. You’ll always be part of a team, receiving support and advice from experienced officials who are happy to help newcomers. This allows you to explore different officiating roles and find the one that suits you best.

Once you’ve chosen your preferred area, you can attend a one-day training course, funded by the club, to become a licenced official. This friendly course provides all the knowledge you need to progress and make an impact in your role.

Why Become an Official?

Officiating is a fun, rewarding way to get involved in athletics. Whether on the field, judging track events, or managing timekeeping, there’s a role for everyone. Being part of a team, contributing to events, and supporting athletes is both fulfilling and enjoyable.
