How To Join

To join, download the membership form. Print it out and send your completed form, together with the appropriate fee, to:

Membership of Swindon Harriers is open to anyone aged seven years or over. The membership year runs from 1st April to 31st March, with the fees set at the AGM in the autumn.

The following rates apply until 31st March 2008:

  • Senior (aged 17 & over): £12.50 plus registration fee if competing*
  • Unwaged Senior (aged 17 & over): £10.00 plus registration fee if competing*
  • Junior (aged 11 to 16): £10.00 plus registration fee if competing*
  • Junior (7 to 10): £5.00
  • Associate Member : £2.50
  • Family Membership: £25.00 plus registration fees if competing*

Please note that Associate membership is for non-competing, non-training members only. If you train with a club group or compete under the Swindon Harriers name, you must take out full membership.

England Athletics Registration

As Swindon Harriers is now affiliated to England Athletics, club members aged 11 years and over must be registered in order to compete in events organised under UK Athletics rules. Each registered member will receive a membership card (competition licence) directly from England Athletics. All income generated from affiliation membership will be returned to the appropriate region for investment in the sport. Further information is available at the England Athletics website.

Training Fees

Road Running training is free. Track fees are taken to cover our cost of track hire (see this article for more explanation about track hire costs).

  • Track fee per session – Member £2.50
  • Track fee per session – Non Member £3.50
  • Season Ticket £50.00 for 6 months (Season Tickets available to members only)
